Conformity to Scripture and Doctrine
The Word of God, accurately interpreted and correctly handled, is the ultimate authority for the teaching and activity of Covenant Church. Furthermore, Biblically accurate teaching that reflects the person, purpose, and plan of the One Who is Truth will be a hallmark of Covenant Church.

Clear Gospel Message
In an age of great religious confusion, Covenant Church will emphasize the centrality of the cross and the necessity of a personal relationship to Christ for salvation.

Claiming God's Kingdom
We believe that the people of God are called to advance the Kingdom of God--that is, the rule of God -- in the earth. Jesus told us to seek the kingdom of God and His righteousness above all else. The primary way to advance the kingdom of God and establish His rule is by evangelizing the lost and discipling the found.

Christlike Compassion
Helping hands and caring hearts reveal God's mercy to those created in His image. This mercy restores hope to the broken hearted in a fallen world. The love of Christ compels us to demonstrate compassion to our neighbors by sharing material blessings with those who are in need. Because God calls us to generously share and sacrificially give, we are committed to the wise use of our earthly resources. Faithful stewardship of what God entrusts to His people enables us to meet the needs of the whole person.

Connecting With God
Believers bear one another's burdens and access the presence and power of God through prayer. The emphasis on prayer in the Old and New Testaments, and particularly in the life of our Lord, demonstrates that prayer must be a top priority in the life of the church.

Christ-Exalting Worship
A Spirit-filled church will glorify Jesus Christ. Covenant Church places a premium on praise to the triune God through music and singing that focuses on His redemptive work. We are also committed to blended worship, a combination of traditional hymns and contemporary songs and choruses which provide a balanced musical diet for God's people.

Commitment in Faith and Life
All members should be engaged in meaningful ministry as God has gifted them. We believe that God calls us to live out our faith commitment by responding to His truth in tangible ways that indicate growth. Specifically, we are expected to bear fruit, to grow in conformity to the person of Christ, and to apply His ethical standards in all personal and corporate decisions.

Closeness of Community
Our desire is to enfold every person in order to develop close, loving relationships within the family of God where all may know and be known, be blessed and be a blessing, and be viable members of the body of Christ.

Cultural Diversity
Because God wants to make one body out of all the tribes and nations of the world, we desire to openly demonstrate God's love for variety and his Gospel which transcends all ethnic and cultural boundaries.

Christian Education
Because every generation must pass the baton of truth on to the next, the training and indoctrination of young people in the content and principles of scripture are vital.

Conserving, Changing, and Calvinistic!
In the 21st Century, Covenant recognizes that change is a given. But we also recognize that God has been at work in His church for thousands of years. Because we value tradition and respect the work of those who have gone before us, the past informs the present and guides us as we change. In particular, Covenant Church affirms its commitment to the Reformed Confessions. We embrace the Reformed position on scripture and the sacraments, the Reformed world and life view, and the Reformation cry, "Glory to God alone!
