Beginnings
"I urge, then, first of all, that requests, prayers, intercession and thanksgiving be made for everyone – "
1 Timothy 2:1
We at Covenant CRC want to be intentional about our prayer life and to be continually mindful of those with whom we come in contact every day. What person has God placed in your path for you to share your faith? Don’t know?? Talk to God about it! For whom should you be praying? Whom should you invite to church? Consider whom the Holy Spirit may be laying on your heart, then intentionally pray, not only for that person or those persons, but also seeking God’s will for you in their life/lives. Also, be encouraged to pray for:
Be Encouraged to Pray For:
- Bill and Gert Plowman
- The Boualyvongsane, Wood and George families as Nuata battles cancer and has been given a very limited time to live
- Covenant members dealing with the dissolution of our congregation
- Our Community's Employees
- Our nation, President and leaders
Pray for Our Nation's Leaders
“I know the plans I have for you”, declares the LORD, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.”
Jeremiah 29:11
Pray for Our Church
Lord God, may your people get to know you better as they hear your voice through your Word. May we be listening every day as we learn to live faithfully for You. In Jesus Name, Amen.
The Lord's Prayer
Our Father who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name.
Thy kingdom come, Thy will be done, on earth as it is in heaven.
Give us this day our daily bread;
And forgive us debts, as we also have forgiven our debtors;
And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil.
For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, for ever and ever.
Amen
